MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Mar 29 Observer(s): Eastman & Denney Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate, Smoke Mid: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate, Smoke End: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate, Smoke Observing Summary: For having the looming threat of a fire evacuation at any moment, illegal aliens on the loose, and a 7 month pregnant woman observing, things went without incident, surprisingly enough. With our trusty golf club in hand (as recommended by our friendly neighborhood ranger/deputy/whatever-his-title-was), we even helped Chris lock down the 2.4m. When we weren't saving the world, baking cookies, or basking in that wondrous campfire smell, we observed 8 targets (counting NGC4051 twice). It was pretty clear except for the smoke to the West from the fire. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Mar 30 [5:32:05]
