MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Nov 18 Observer(s): K. Schlesinger Institution(s): OSU Instrument: 4K Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm, haze Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable, haze End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm, some haze Observing Summary: There were some wispy cirrus clouds and haze for most of the night. Looks like it had pretty much cleared by sunrise. But it was definitely visible when the moon was still up. Had a small problem with the RA and DEC monitor in the dome. It failed when I was returning to zenith after taking dayflats. Bob was able to help me find and install a replacement monitor over the phone. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Nov 19 [6:46:22]
