MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Oct 27 Observer(s): M. Boettcher, B. Ragozzine, K. Uckert Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: Templeton Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.9 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.9 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Continued blazar monitoring. Some trouble with moderate cirrus cloud cover, illuminated by bright moon. Problems with the CCD temperature: Either dewer was not completely filled, or liquid nitrogen was leaking. CCD warmed up twice during the night, and dewer had to be re-filled, which broght the CCD temperature back to nominal value. At one point, the shutter was not operating properly. After opening and closing manually, it worked fine.
