MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Sep 10 Observer(s): Eastman Institution(s): OSU Instrument: 4K Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: With the exception of the guider focus (see trouble report), everything went smoothly for the 4K's first light (on this detector). Before I leave (Sept 19th), I'll create a website and manual for the 4K; it's now ready for regular use! There were clouds on the horizon, but it was mostly clear overhead all night. I spent most of the night doing extra/intrafocal image pairs for Ross' analysis. I also observed CygnusOB2 for Jose. The new focus routine is quite snazzy and makes focusing the telescope relatively quick and easy. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Sep 11 [6:00:00]
