MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Jan 19 Observer(s): Denney & Grier Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We had another great night - weather was beautiful, and problems were minimal. We observed 3 AGNs in all three grating settings across the optical: PG0052, PG0804, and PG1226 (plus two standard stars). The guiding seemed to be quite squirrely tonight, even though it wasn't really windy or anything - don't know what the deal with that was - I didn't put it in the trouble report because I actually just now remembered it. Other than that, we had to restart reboot the slit acquisition CCD and computer because CCDOPS locked up on us again. Also, Prospero lost communication with the IE, but that was easily fixed by typing a seqinit in the IC. No problems that weren't easily remedied. Added bonus, we were so efficient tonight that we finished a little early and will get an extra hour of sleep - yay! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Jan 20 [6:00:41]
