MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Jan 20 Observer(s): Denney & Grier Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: The night went pretty good, only some cirrus toward the beginning of the night. We observed almost the whole night, but stopped a little early because it's our last night and we needed a little sleep before going down the mountain. We observed the Hbeta region of NGC7469 (only 1 exposure because of high airmass this time of year) and 3c120. We observed all three grating settings (full optical coverage) of PG0844, and then two grating settings of MCG 08-23-067. We had a couple minor issues - Prospero lost communication with the IE again (requiring a seqinit on the IC), CCDSOPS locked up again, and there's also still a bad column being read out on the detector (see trouble report for details). All in all, this has been a relatively good run (compared to some I've had :-) ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Jan 21 [5:25:13]
