MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 May 01 Observer(s): Atlee Institution(s): OSU Instrument: 4k Camera Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate, haze on horizon Mid: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate, haze on horizon Observing Summary: I completed a single long integration for Joe Patterson and a transit observation for Jason Eastman. I also took a single binary field and a single calibration field for Katie Schlessinger. The fields for Katie were taken within 1 hour of sunrise, and are therefore of somewhat dubious value. The only particularly noteworthy event of the night was when a single chip of the 4 in the detector saturated during twilight flats. The current theory, proposed by Jason, is that all four chips saturated, but three of them rolled over. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 May 2 [5:54:16]
