MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Nov 02 Observer(s): Halpern and Schroeder Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 6 until 10. Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: The dome would not center for about half an hour until we restarted TCS. The night started with patchy clouds, but as we were observing bright stars we were able to acquire our targets. The ACS camera crashed only three times which was an improvement over the last few nights. The humidity threatened to end our night early, but it stayed below 85% until 6 am. We plan on using the screen tomorrow to take flats. The lamp is not bright enough in the blue for our purposes. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Nov 3 [6:24:31]
