MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Nov 21 Observer(s): S. Lepine, E. Gaidos Institution(s): AMNH, U. Hawaii Instrument: MkIII spectrograph + Nellie Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Good night (and long night) for spectroscopy. The cirrus clouds were not thick enough to be a real nuisance. We observed a total of 91 science targets, which establishes a new nightly record for me. This is largely thanks to the new Telescope Control System, which significantly reduces the overhead. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Nov 22 [6:52:49]
