MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Sep 27 Observer(s): Atlee Institution(s): OSU Instrument: 4k Camera Worked for 6 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: I finally managed to produce some science-quality data. The telescope seems to hold focus reasonably well to the east of the zenith, as noted last night. The greatest difficulty was getting onto the field in the first place. Both of the problems I encountered were related to actually slewing to the field. Ultimately, it took me nearly two hours to finally get the field centered on the target cluster. I managed about two hours on target from the time I finally got the cluster centered in the field and the time the focus in the field began to slip, just after transit. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Sep 28 [0:55:43]
