MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 Feb 14 Observer(s): Feiden Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: 4k CCD & OSU Filter Wheel Worked for 11 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 1800 until 0300. Beg: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: A pretty cruddy night all told. Plagued most of the night by clouds which could never decide if they wanted to stay or go. Was able to get my first solid twilight flats in both the evening and morning. Was concerned that the wind was going to give my stars tails again, but it changed direction before it could ruin any exposures. A nice turnaround at about 0300 when the conditions became photometric and I was able to take solid exposures in BVRI. A fitting end to what will most likely be the end of the my first (although not last visit to MDM and the 1.3m. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 Feb 15 [7:37:48]
