MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 Jun 25 Observer(s): Parks Institution(s): OSU Instrument: 4K Worked for 4 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.92 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.96 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Calm End: Overcast, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The night started ok with only a slight North/South guiding problem, but as the night progressed, clouds become more and more of a problem eventually leading to exposures having to be executed in short windows inbetween clouds. This made for a slow and tedious night until around 830 UT when it became basically overcast. I waited until about 1030UT attempting to get short 10 sec exposures of Cygnus when possible, but there were only a few exposures where this worked. Eventually the radar showed that conditions were worsening and complete overcast was predicted which prompted me to shut down about 45 minutes early. Earlier in the night I was able to get some good exposures of Cygnus, but NGC6633 was unfortunately covered by clouds the entire night (I continually checked). ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 Jun 25 [3:50:00]
