MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 May 01 Observer(s): Sebastien Lepine Institution(s): AMNH Instrument: MkIII + Nellie Worked for 3 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Clouds from sunset to well past midnight. A hole cleared up after 1:30am and I resumed the observing program. Stopped just before dawn as more clouds started moving in. I managed to get spectra of 29 stars, not bad for 3 hours work. Motion in Decl. remained jerky when guiding, despite the fixes Bob suggested (changing guide rate on the guider, re-setting the paddle gain on the TCS). ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 May 2 [5:09:15]
