MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 May 03 Observer(s): Sebastien Lepine Institution(s): AMNH Instrument: MkIII + Nellie Worked for 9 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Mid: Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Another night chasing holes in the clouds, but not so bad overall, as most of it were just cirrus, and I was observing relatively bright stars. I really had to pause for only an hour in the evening. It was relatively windy too, so I kept the drop-out up, which really seemed to help the stability of the telescope. Only glitch: McGraw got hung (again) at 12:30am and I had to do a hard reboot. I also lost the pointing which I had to reset. Lost me half an hour. Good haul again tonight, with spectra for 78 more targets. This was my last night of this run. Many thanks to the staff for their help and support. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 May 4 [7:09:36]
