MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 May 24 Observer(s): Feiden Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSU 4k Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Overall a solid night. Seeing was consistent and the clouds stayed away! Seems that Jules has brought good observing conditions with him. He had also mentioned that it might not be the wind causing the telescope to sway so I made sure to pay extra attention when/if it happened. It only happened a couple of times and it seemed to be the result of the guiding. It waited for a while and then jerked to the corrected position. This may have caused some of what I saw last night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 May 25 [5:43:40]
