MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Dec 03 Observer(s): Skowron Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Overcast most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Calm Observing Summary: High clouds all the night long. With different intensity, and changing constantly during exposures. (Guider counts where changing by factor of 2-3 with 15 minute timescales) Dewar of CCDS was not filled completely (at 6pm) which lead to high background and temperature of the detector going up from -109 to -57 until the dewar was filled up completely (9pm). With high background the black spots on ccd appeared to be visible, they vanished when background dropped. I took observations of 3 agns and 2 standard stars, none of them was clear from the impact form the clouds passing by constantly. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Dec 4 [6:03:12]
