MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Dec 06 Observer(s): Szczygiel & Skowron Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Overcast most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: At the beginning of the night the sky was overcast, but cleared towards midnight. Patchy cirrus clouds kept passing through the whole night. We observed 4.5 targets out of 7, and 2 standards out of 3, losing the ones from the first part of the night. During one of the exposures we had a k3b program burning DVD on McGraw and noticed that it affected guiding and/or tracking, or communication between computers -- stars moved in the N-S direction. It is worth noting that burning DVDs during exposures should be avoided. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Dec 7 [6:45:40]
