MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Dec 06

Worked for 12 hours (all night)
Conditions were Overcast most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

At the beginning of the night the sky was overcast,
but cleared towards midnight. Patchy cirrus clouds
kept passing through the whole night.
We observed 4.5 targets out of 7, and 2 standards
out of 3, losing the ones from the first part of
the night.
During one of the exposures we had a k3b program
burning DVD on McGraw and noticed that it affected
guiding and/or tracking, or communication between
computers -- stars moved in the N-S direction.
It is worth noting that burning DVDs during exposures
should be avoided.
