MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Jul 09 Observer(s): Mager, Boettcher, Gusbar Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: Templeton Worked for 3 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Most of the night was lost to overcast skies. We were able to observe toward the middle/end of the night off and on. Some time was lost to problems with telescope slewing, as the telescope would suddenly stop frequently, and we had reissue pointing commands several times before it reached its destination. Also, about 1/2 of our images were bad due to problems with the tracking and guiding, as the telescope would occasionally suddenly wobble back and forth by a few arcseconds. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Jul 10 [4:41:56]
