MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Jun 07 Observer(s): Schroeder Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Nellie No Observing (see comments below) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Observing Summary: Cloudy nights at the beginning. As the skies cleared, I attempted to take observations. The declination drive oscillations were still there. Even accounting for this, there was a strange response on the chip. I ran the ut command and everything was fine. I thought it might be moisture so I tried to blow it off with dry nitrogen. The response didn't improve and when I ran ut again I noticed the temperature rising steadily. Does this mean vacuum was lost? If so, I'm not sure what to do. I couldn't really find any documentation on what to do in such a situation. So I closed at 11:30 pm. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Jun 7 [23:29:44]
