MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Mar 16 Observer(s): Grier & Bentz Institution(s): OSU Instrument: 4K Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 2.9 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: There were some cirrus clouds throughout the night but also periods of clear. The seeing was pretty bad most of the night. When we were running twilight flats at the beginning of the night, one quadrant of the 4K camera had some readout issues and the entire frame read out as saturated in two of our flats. We ran a bias frame and the problem fixed itself, so we only lost a few minutes' worth of flats. I also had some interesting/confusing flats in the morning. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Mar 17 [6:17:18]
