MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Mar 19 Observer(s): Thomas Beatty Institution(s): OSU Instrument: 4k Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Clear, Winds Moderate End: Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Observed a transit of HAT-P-13b. Closed the drop-out part way through to stop jitter from the wind. Afterwards tried to compress the fits files, but by mistake command the computer to make each file into its own archive. This made the system freeze, and we had to restart. We followed the restart procedure, but also had to execute the IC-to-Caliban Transfer Disk Error Recovery procedure to get everything back to working order. Afterwards made some observations of recent supernovae. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Mar 20 [5:02:31]
