MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Sep 07 Observer(s): Dietrich Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 7.5 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 0:00 until 4:30. At the beginning of the night it wasn't possible to slew to 3C390.3 - error message that pointing convergence failed. However, later there were no problems to move the telescope to 3C390.3 The telescope guiding was nodding in DEC as well as in RA with an amplitude of a few arcsec for short periods of time. An not properly performed reset of the telescope pointing resulted into a tedious recovery of the pointing. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Sep 8 [5:10:45]
