MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Dec 28 Observer(s): Halpern, McCarrick, Gordon Institution(s): Columbia U. Instrument: CCDS Worked for 8 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: I parked the rental car at the 12m radio telescope in order not to interfere with the power company digging in the road, which leaves just barely room to squeeze past into MDM. I hope that's okay. This was the last night of a very productive run, despite some pointing problems in the far north. In the past 24 hours the dewar started to warm up a couple of times. Possibly this is due to incomplete filling, but in any case the dewar will have to be pumped for its next run. I'm doing some dome flats now. They seem to be working. We'll see after reducing the spectra. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 Dec 29 [3:58:20]
