MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Feb 03 Observer(s): Fesen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: 4K camera Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2-3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Seeing started out bad but became quite good later. It was windy but not an issue. Only had the telescope stall out twice last night and finished working well at the end. The problem from last night might have been due to the exceptionally cold temperature last night. Anyway, obtained good image data but found the 4k camera has noticeable reflections...bright stars have fainter version on opposite side of the ccd. The reflections look real and can be mistaken for real stars. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 Feb 4 [6:13:33]
