MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Jun 07 Observer(s): Uthas, de Miguel, Nilsson Institution(s): Columbia, CBA Instrument: 4K Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Beautiful weather. Oscillations seems to only occur when first moving to new coordinates. After a couple of minutes, the oscillations disappear to only re-appear once in a while. This behavior is seen regardless of position on the sky. Occasionally, north and south offset on the hand paddle (on TSC) doesn't respond when trying to make an offset. West and east has never failed. With the guiding not working properly, we have to constantly (every 3-5 min) recenter our targets into our aperture. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 Jun 8 [4:46:07]
