MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Mar 20

Worked for 6 hours (first half of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   High Winds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds High
   Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds High
   End: Cirrus, Winds High

Observing Summary:

Very windy - problems with wind shake. Halfway through
the night, the TCS link broke down, and we were unable
to fix it. All recipes in the manuals didn't work -
telinit, tcinit, ... We even closed all control programs
down and started from scratch (ISIS, TCS, Caliban, Prospero),
but the result was the same. We could close the dome 
with manual control, but could not home the telescope
or close the mirror covers.
