MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Oct 20 Observer(s): Jenna Lemonias Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: R4K Worked for 9 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm, High Humidity Observing Summary: First half of the night went smoothly. Then I started getting errors in Prospero. See below. I had a sequence of exposures but it crashed in the middle. The error message said that Prospero was trying to write to the same file. When that happened it wrote to a file with a different filename. I changed the filename and got the same errors. I restarted Prospero and got the same errors. I noticed that in Prospero Status IC: DOWN so I restarted again. Same errors but I was able to do 1-5 exposures at a time (i.e. go 5) with it crashing only sometimes. I don't think I lost any data. DONE: Exposures finished. *** Exposure Completed *** Error: Command returned error WARNING: could not update NEXTFILE and LASTFILE. Problems with the filename command. Execution error in Prospero command. Command: go pr> IC> DONE: Filename=night2b.0009 I closed early because I noticed the 4m was closed due to high humidity. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 Oct 21 [4:58:28]
