MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Dec 11 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Modspec + Templeton Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Clear night, but cirrusy in the evening and probably not photometric. I had some focus issues, and was somewhat slow at first due to unfamiliarity with the telescope. Also, the telescope interface to JSkyCalc13mGS is not working (the guide star selector does work). See trouble report for more detail on all these, and other minor issues. The telescope is setting extremely well, and the new control system makes it possible to move between targets very efficiently. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Dec 12 [7:06:12]
