MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Feb 17 Observer(s): De Rosa and Fiorenza Institution(s): OSU and CUNY GC Instrument: CCDS Worked for 6 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 23:00 until 08:00. Beg: Fog/Low Clouds, Winds Light & Variable, High Humidity Mid: Seeing 1.63 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The beginning of the night we did not open the dome because of high humidity (snowed last night). We opened at 08:55 after weather conditions improved. While observing NGC3227 (UT 09:20, RA 10 23 30 DEC +19 51 54) the target moved within the slit even if the guiding was properly working. It moved both in the E-W and N-S direction of few arcseconds. The spectrum results compromised but we decided to move to the next target since we have limited time. The rest of the observations were fine. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Feb 18 [6:53:21]
