MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Feb 24 Observer(s): Shappee Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm, really more hazzy Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm, really more hazzy End: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm, really more hazzy Observing Summary: Overall good night. The sky was hazzy all night, not separate cirrus clouds just very light over the whole sky. Seeing dropped below 1 last 1/3 of the night. Telescope is still misbehaving for small N-S offsets at random points through out the night. Also, one of the telescope background programs seemed to have died in the middle of the night. I could not start exposures. After telescope stop , telescope start , Prospero (telinit and startup) and restarting jskycalc things were back to normal. Total time cost ~35min. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Feb 25 [6:16:13]
