MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Feb 28 Observer(s): vans Saders & Shappee Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Observed all targets except for the last standard star, as we were pushing too far into twilight. Good weather all night, with only a few scattered clouds, and decreasing humidity as the night progressed. Minor hiccup with an offset command hanging in the TCS, but this was resolved by restarting the program at the end of the night. Noticed that the telescope would occasionally suddenly lose its ability to track for unexplained reasons (something to do with this offset issue?) but that we could re-acquire the target and proceed from there without further difficulties. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Feb 29 [7:22:07]
