MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Jan 12 Observer(s): McGraw Institution(s): Ohio Instrument: CCDS Worked for 6 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 7:00 until 12:00. Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.03 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.90 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: There was cloud cover over the entire sky for the first half of the night, preventing any observing from taking place. Once the sky was clear, conditions were photometric for the remainder of the night. Only one problem was encountered: When calling 'endcal' at the end of the night, I received the error message 'TC is currently unavailable..' The fix was using the same procedure as the TCS link error, by restarting the telescope in a terminal, then typing 'telinit' then 'startup' to fix prospero. call endcal worked fine after that. No other problems were encountered. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Jan 13 [6:26:47]
