MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Jun 16 Observer(s): Jules Halpern Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Templeton Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Cleared up pretty well after thunderstorm warning in the afternoon. The ccd performed very well. The telescope was mostly okay, but it made a couple of jumps, and had several episodes of not being able to make small guide motions. Overall a productive first night. No longer do I have to dread the errors of type -3 or -4. Thanks John! I disposed of a trapped mouse behind the television in the kitchen that seems to have been there for a while, as I infer from the can of air freshener sitting on the table. (This brings to mind a joke that I am too tired to tell here). ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Jun 17 [5:22:42]
