MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Nov 18 Observer(s): Wagner and Gordon Institution(s): OSU Instrument: Templeton/Direct Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Last night of a very successful 6 night run. Humidity approached 79% during the night. No other problems were encountered. Two nights were lost due to weather. Three nights had cirrus and variable conditions. The first night was almost photometric. No major problems were encountered that affected observing. The problem with the UPS was logged in the failure report. The only other problem we had was that the Windows guide computer rebooted one night to run Windows Update. We should run the updates offline or disable the feature. Except for the well-known image motion problem under closed-loop guiding the telescope and instrument worked flawlessly. Thanks to the MDM staff for their expertise and support. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Nov 19 [3:59:18]
