MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Sep 26 Observer(s): Colon Institution(s): UH Instrument: 4K Worked for 2 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Cirrus clouds were persistent throughout the entire night. I did not have a transiting candidate system to observe tonight, so I was going to test the reliability of our photometry in relation to the centroid drift in the stars and the flat fields. My target did not rise until 8:30 pm so I did not plan to open until then. The cirrus clouds were dominant enough that I did not open at that time. Eventually I fell asleep while waiting for the clouds to dissipate... No problems were encountered, though the AC unit in the control room smelled a little smoky at one point after I turned it off. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Sep 27 [6:15:03]
