MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Apr 24 Observer(s): Denney/King Institution(s): OSU/UQ Instrument: CCDS Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 2.1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Tonight went quite smoothly. MCG08 has nearly hit its observability limit, and we hit the western limit during the 3rd exposure, and the tracking automatically turned off. we slewed back to zenith and then just went to the next target, no problem. Only other hiccough was CCDOPS locking up on the acquisition camera computer. We just restarted and it came back fine, no biggie, so I didn't fill out a trouble report. The only other excitement was our control room furry friends. He/She/They were brave little souls (Anthea definitely saw two), coming close to smell our shoes and just sit there and say hi while we watched. We thought/tried briefly to catch one, but weren't that motivated. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Apr 25 [4:59:14]
