MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Dec 13 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Mark III + Templeton Worked for 4 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Light & Variable, Too humid! Mid: Clear, Winds Light & Variable, Too humid! End: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm, Finally, good! Observing Summary: High humidity until 2 AM, then opened as temperature dropped below freezing and humidity eased. I ran the 1.3m from the 2.4 m -- Erek Alper had done this on previous nights but he'd turned in for a bit before leaving the mountain at 4:40 AM. I'd done this before with the Andor; running the spectrograph remotely is not too hard, but rather more complicated as it tends to require more interaction. Still, it works! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Dec 14 [7:08:06]
