MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Jan 03

Worked for 13 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 07 until 13.
   Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm
   End: Overcast, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Weather started clear with excellent seeing.  Haze/cirrus clouds
approached at about 07 UT, and conditions degraded from there.
Managed to barely punch through clouds for the last hour (12-13 UT).

No major technical difficulties.  There was no N-S nodding except
for the very first exposure of the night.  The first standard star
seemed to have an erratic N-S wobble, about 10  arcseconds
in amplitude (!!).

Observed 7 AGN and 2 standard stars (although the last half of
the night is questionable).  Did Akn120 for the first hour, AM = 1.6.
At the end of the night, unable to acquire faintest sources,
will try for NGC 5548 tomorrow.
