MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Jan 19 Observer(s): Simonian/Mudd Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We observed 8 AGN tonight. There was a definite layer of clouds. Although they were more of a problem at the beginning of the night, there was at least one occasion where acquisition was noticeably extincted. There was also another occasion where we lost guiding for about 10 seconds. Seeing was highly variable. It seemed to be mostly arcsecond, but had some periods where it jumped to 2 arcseconds. I attribute this to the clumpy nature of the clouds we had. All AGN were observed by twilight. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Jan 20 [6:28:23]
