MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Mar 12 Observer(s): shappee Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Patchy clouds at the beginning of the night. Clouds got heavier in the middle. Then light cirrus/haze at the end of the night. In the middle of the night the guider stopped working. It would simply drift off in the X direction. It took me ~20 min to figure out that I must have accidentally clicked the Pier Flip button on the camera control. After I un-clicked it everything worked fine again. I write this in the log in case it effects anyone in the future so that they might stumble upon this. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Mar 13 [6:23:23]
