MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Mar 26 Observer(s): Beatty & Grier Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 2.5 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity all night. Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds High, high humidity Mid: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds High End: Cirrus, Winds High, high humidity Observing Summary: Began the night with clouds and high humidity. Shortly before 10pm the humidity dropped to acceptable levels and the clouds had mostly moved off, so we opened and observed AGN14 targets for about 2.5 hours before the humidity got above 80% again. Retired for the night shortly after 3am, with the humidity at 94% and rising. We filed a trouble report regarding the hose connected to the LN2 tank. The very end of the hose, the part that connects to the metal tube that inserts into the dewar, seems to have a small hole in it. It sprayed (not much) LN2 when we filled the dewar. This made the filling process take longer than normal. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Mar 27 [3:10:13]
