MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 May 20 Observer(s): Holoien/Li Institution(s): OSU,Columbia Instrument: CCDS Worked for 8.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: The sky was mostly clear during the night except some clouds on the horizon. Power went off at 6:45pm for 20 sec, but it seemed to cause no apparent problems for the observing. When pointed to RA 23:44:48 DEC -2:7:3.2 at around 4:15am ,the telescope lost connection. It was back under control again after we stopped and restarted TCS. Otherwise it was a productive night, esp we observed PG 1244+026 which was not available for several days due to clouds. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 May 21 [5:06:46]
