MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 May 25 Observer(s): De Rosa/ Stevens Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 7 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate, maybe thin cirrus End: Seeing 1.9 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable, maybe thin cirrus Observing Summary: Mostly clear all night. Moderate wind until ~7 UT, causing some issues with guiding. We observed all sources except for NGC 3227. During twilight we observed ASAS-SN sn14_az. We detected small amplitude NS nodding while observing the first standard star feige34 (RA 10 39 36 DEC +43 06 09 secz=1.11-1.13). Issues were encountered while observing n3227 (RA=10 23 30.57 DEC=+19 51 54 secz=1.25-1.40): it was impossible to guide due to large amplitude N-S nodding. We had further issues with guiding: the guiding was lost twice, suddenly, while observing two different objects, without apparent explanation. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 May 26 [4:43:05]
