MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Nov 06 Observer(s): Alper Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Andor Worked for 3 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Not sure if conditions were actually photometric, as this was the first true remote observing test (performed from Dartmouth)! All went well in the end - the guider software crashed twice at the beginning of the run, but ran fine after that. Due to time limitations, this run was from ~7:00 pm MST to ~10:00 pm MST, but was a great proof-of-concept. No nodding issues to note, though things got a little hinky as I took an object to ~2.5 airmass (to be expected). Might have been some clouds at some point. All in all, a good first trial. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Nov 6 [22:43:36]
