MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Nov 18 Observer(s): Alper Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Andor Worked for 4 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Another night of relatively successful remote observing from Dartmouth. Time was spent trying to narrow down the issue with the viewing computer claiming there's not enough memory to take long kinetic series shots. Turns out that, currently, at 4x4 binning, anything is allowed. At 2x2 binning, no matter the exposure time, any kinetic length over 3600 would result in the memory error. This is quite strange, as only a week ago this problem didn't exist. Not sure what to say. Other than that, remote observing's largely been a success. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Nov 19 [14:22:58]
