MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2014 Oct 23 Observer(s): Daniel Nieto Institution(s): Columbia University Instrument: 4K Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Relatively good weather conditions throughout the night, very thin layer of cirrus detected in the red filter image of the all-sky monitor. Seeing spanning from 9.0px FWHM to 4.5px FWHM. A few images of the tracking error graph were taken (sorry, not all of them include alt/az data) to asses the nodding problem.
