MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2015 Jun 23

Worked for 3 hours (first half of the night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

I used the tilt meters to establish the pointing after
yesterday's restart of the TCS.  Closed around 11pm
due to thick clouds (which eventually rained).  The
same error occurred as the previous night when homing
the telecope using the command line 'point ha=00:00:00.0 . . .'
It was off by 2 degrees east from the home position.
I cured this using the 'home' menu, and then restarting
the TCS using 'telescope stop' and 'telescope start'.
I would recommend not using the command line to home
the telescope, but using the home menu instead.
(The command line is a habit I acquired before the
home menu was working properly.)
