MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2016 Dec 03 Observer(s): Neustadt Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Templeton Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Winds from 0:00 until 3:30. Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Totally clear - but in the later half of the night, the telescope would shake up/down which ruined some images (~2hrs of exposure time) Looking at previous trouble reports, it probably was due to the wind, as the shaking would only happen sometimes, and would disappear if i shifted the telescope to another part of the sky Would have been a perfect night if not for the wind ------------------------------ Submitted on 2016 Dec 4 [5:51:55]
