MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2016 Jan 30 Observer(s): Alper Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Andor Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Winds from 18:00 until 23:00. Beg: Clear, Winds High Mid: Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Extremely windy night at first which made initial observations almost impossible due to jitter. Winds eventually calmed down after a few hours (though would flare from time to time throughout the evening). Lost the stars during the tail end of a long exposure at the start of the night - not sure if this was due to heavy wind or the guider problem cropping up once again. Either way, while annoying, it only happened once tonight. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2016 Jan 31 [6:05:24]
