MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observing Report for 2016 May 08 Observer(s): Neustadt & Black Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Echelle Worked for 4.5 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from Sunse until 23:30. Beg: Clear, Winds Calm, high humidity Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm, humidity in 70s End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm, humidity in 70s Observing Summary: TCS was not working at the beginning of the night, which, with the help of Erek Alper and Eric Galayda, was due to the McGraw computer crashing at some point between then and last night. We had the 2.4m observer (Dr. Chornock) power cycle McGraw and everything started working again! Unfortunately, humidity prevented us from opening up until around 23:30. Afterwards, things went smoothly. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2016 May 9 [4:34:57]
